Joyce Steinfeld • Empowering People to connect with their Best Self.
If we can understand the statement that as we look out onto the world, everything we see around us, does not really have any meaning. Our minds gives significance and meaning to everything we see and all the situations that we are involved with. If we can understand this, we can also understand the idea that we can have some measure of control over our lives, by what we feed our minds.
An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about live. “A fight is going on inside me, “ he said to the boy.
“It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.” He continued, “ The other is good - he is joy peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. The same fight is going on inside of you - and inside every other person too.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
Art is a powerful way to communicate with our minds. These powerful wordless images, can be used to feed our inner wolf. Think about the benefits of creating a “ Retreat Space where you can feed your mind thoughts of good and positives states of mind.
